Tank, hopper, silo and reactor weighing offers the highest accuracy and repeatability when measuring vessel contents.

Our mounting assemblies simplify the system, but many factors matter — vessel size and type, support structures, pipe connections, movement during filling and environmental conditions. A range of indicators, digitizers and PLC modules can be used to determine vessel weight, and WTC provides the specialist advice and products to ensure success.

Vertical mounting can use three load cells (fixed at 120° for circular hoppers) or four. Horizontal vessels should use four load cells, with dual-link mountings to reduce vibration where a horizontal agitator is present. The number of load cells generally matches the number of pedestals; heavy or rectangular tanks should use a minimum of four.
